Two veneer leftover boards (kindly offered by LineaLegno) were cut into samples:
- Board “A”, just slightly darkened by sunlight (samples 1-7)
- Board “B”, exposed to sunlight and weather until it looked completely gray (samples 8-12)

These samples were tested for chatoyance both in the “as received” condition, and then sanded down to core material, fine-sanded to 1500-grit and then tested again for chatoyance. Table below summarizes results showing impressively high values for the weathered samples.
